The planners were eager to keep subscribers aware of how the process was progressing, in part so that they would be willing to contribute again as more funds were needed. Invitation to a Special Viewing Subscribers were invited to special viewings on February 28 and 29, 1908. Although Burnham himself was ill and could not attend, the viewings went on as scheduled.
