Park City, IL

Lake County, 35 miles N of the Loop. Owners of four mobile home parks banded together to incorporate Park City in 1958 to block annexation from nearby Waukegan. In the late 1970s, a federal housing lawsuit claimed that residents excluded non- whites. Since that time, the minority population has increased, and single-family homes have emerged alongside trailer homes. In the late 1990s Columbia College of Missouri opened a small branch campus in Park City.
