Chicago Academy of Sciences (right) and Café Brauer (left), 1964. Café Brauer was designed in 1908 by Prairie School architect Dwight Perkins. In 1989 the Lincoln Park Zoological Society in cooperation with the Chicago Park District and the Levy organization completed a $4.2 million renovation to restore the Café as a dining establishment, park facility, and historic landmark.
