Chicago, Rock Island, & Pacific Railroad Advertisement, 1886

Starting with a single rail links between Chicago and Rock Island, the Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railroad became the first to bridge the Mississippi, encouraging western settlement via their lines, as in this broadside.
