Kimball and Lawrence Avenues, 1929 | ||||
Like many Chicago neighborhoods, the northwest Albany Park Community Area experienced a population explosion during the 1870s and 1880s. The completion of the Ravenswood Elevated line in 1907 further fueled the building boom, particularly around the station near the corner of Lawrence and Kimball Avenues.
