Czech Lodge, c.1880 | ||||
Czech lodge on Eighteenth Street, just west of Centre (now Racine) Avenue, c.1880. The words that appear just below the roofline, "Rovnost Svornost Bratrstvi," translate into "Equality, Unity, Brotherhood." The terms were names of three uraninite mines near Jachymov in northwestern Bohemia in the current Czech Republic.
